A big and important part of Law of Attraction and Manifesting is setting intentions the right way. In this 3-part video series, I share three different techniques that will help you imprint your intentions into your subconscious mind to ensure they manifest and project out into your physical reality. mamohigThe topic of free will versus destiny is a topic often discussed, and some religions mention that we have both. Being very logically oriented (as that is my primary energy center), I always had difficulty understanding what that meant because logically, either we have free will or we don’t. Either, we are destined to live a particular life path or we don’t. So, which is it? It can’t be both!
With time, and through learning as well as my own personal spiritual journey, I’ve come to my own understanding and interpretation of what this means.
We all have our own energetic qualities that is the basis of who we are. It’s our unique energetic frequency. Think of it as the DNA of the soul. This never changes. It’s the energetic quality through which vital force energy flows abundantly. Through Law of Attraction, you will attract the people, situations and experiences that match that quality. You will always be drawn to these people, situations and experiences because it can be no other way. It is universal law.
This is where “destiny” plays a role. You are destined to be drawn to these people, situations and experiences.
These are soul-based desires and not momentary desires, which depend on a great deal of factors, such as your practiced vibration or even your vibration in a moment of time, influence of others, temporary egoic satisfaction and so forth. Soul-based desires are deep-rooted desires that you would choose again and again if you were to relive your life, while egoic desires are circumstantial and are not necessarily repeated.
Examples of deep-rooted desires may include that business you crave to create and build and have dreamed of doing for a long time. Or that person you are incredibly drawn to and can’t seem to shake off no matter how many others you’ve met since (this is always mutual and never one-sided because your unique energetic frequencies are aligned). It’s the life vision you absolutely desire and find yourself dreaming of again and again. These are soul-based desires that you are drawn to based on the energetic qualities of your soul.
You always know which ones these are for you.
Yet, if that is the case, then why are we not all living our “destiny”?
There are multitudes of situations why not and these boil down to two key reasons:
Both stem from the mind.
It starts with the way we are conditioned from a young age. What we learn from our families, teachers and environments. It’s what we are taught to believe through the influencers in our life as well as our own life experience and these essentially become our beliefs.
So when those soul-based desires show up, our mind chooses all kinds of reasons as to why we can’t or shouldn’t follow our heart’s desires.
This is where free will comes in. We choose to align with our mind instead of our soul because we always have a choice no matter what. In other words, our soul-based desires are our destiny and what we choose to do with these desires is our free will.
It seems pretty simple. Of-course, it is not always easy to align. That’s why we have an enormous self-help industry intended to show people how to align and create the lives they want.
Once we understand that our heart’s desires are our true destiny, then it may be easier for us to accept that there is a reason why we want what we want and it is essentially our birthright. It’s our choice whether we want to work on ourselves and recondition our mind to receive what is ours, or not!
Through spiritual growth and higher consciousness, we start to understand where these soul-based desires stem from and may feel more confident and at ease with the choices we make to align.
Are you able to spot or remember your soul-based desires? What did you CHOOSE to do with these? Can you identify a “Can’t” or “Shouldn’t” reason for not aligning?
That is because Vital Force Energy (VFE) will flow to you most abundantly when you express your Divine Gifts.
VFE is Life Force. It’s the energy that keeps you alive and it’s also the energy we access to create. When it’s abundant, you thrive on all levels – physically, health wise, wealth, fulfillment, time, etc. A lack of VFE creates the opposite of that. It depletes your human experience on all levels.
Your Divine Gifts – also referred to as your Energy Center – represent the energetic quality of your Soul and how you are designed to receive VFE and also EXPRESS yourself. It’s similar to the DNA of a human body. You will find yourself drawn to certain ideas, actions and experiences because they are an energetic match to who you are at Soul level. It’s Universal Law.
However, you also have free will. You always have the CHOICE to express or NOT express your Divine Gifts because it may seem uncomfortable at times to take such actions, as was the case with me as I explained in my ebook “The 5 Magical Shifts“. I was afraid. And when we don’t express our Divine Gifts, VFE does not flow abundantly.
When I chose not to listen to my intuition, which is always guiding us towards the expression of our Divine Gifts, I struggled. Yes, I believed that I could create anything that I wanted because of the Law of Attraction. But what I attracted did not fulfill me. It also required an immense amount of will power because of the lack of fulfillment and all the other struggles that came up as a result.
Creative energy is meant to be CREATED. When we continue to perpetuate the situations that do not allow us to express our Divine Gifts, we get depleted. This is one of the most powerful aspects of understanding your Divine Gifts because you start to truly understand (and appreciate) why you need to release certain situations, habits and people, who may be blocking the flow of VFE.
And when you continue to not express your Divine Gifts, your unused creative resources start to express themselves in the form of drama and dysfunction. We always have a choice and it is our responsibility to express our Energy Center in a productive and functional way in order to thrive in our human experience.
If you are reading this, then you must know that we are the divine creators of our own realities. As Abraham Hicks puts it, there is nothing that we can’t be, do, or have.
We are indeed the masterful creators of our experiences.
In my ebook “The 5 Magical Shifts“ (which I hope you’ve read!), I shared with you my own experience with conscious creation. I shared how I magically created the life experiences that brought me to where I am today.
I also shared the struggle that resulted when I started my second business back in 2013. For many years, I knew that I wanted to become a coach and mentor, but when the time came and I started the business, I felt far from fulfilled. I got stuck because no one wants to start and run a business that does not fulfill them! What would be the point? The worst thing is that I questioned my own ability to set the right intentions.
This was the turning point in my life when I became experientially aware of soul-level intentions! Some of the intentions that we make are aligned with our soul’s intentions while others may be misaligned. We all have free will so we can ultimately create anything we choose. But the path that will bring us the greatest fulfillment (and abundance as well as sense of wellbeing and flow) will be the one that is aligned with our soul’s intentions.
So you can manifest using intellectual intentions (manifesting from ego) or you can manifest based on soul intentions (manifesting from soul). You can create either way because you are truly a divine creator. But one path will guarantee fulfillment, success and abundance while the other is trial and error. You may manifest abundance and success, but fulfillment may be the missing ingredient, which throws everything off. When you are not fulfilled, it becomes hard to stay aligned.
This was a huge lesson for me. Pay attention to your life right now. I find that one question alone is the catch-all for all others.
